Revelstoke Camping

Whilst Revelstoke has a great variety of accomodation options available, sometimes you just can’t get rid of the desire to sleep under the stars.

Echo Lake

About 20km from town, Echo Lake is located off the infamous Alkolkalox Forest Service Road. Radios are mandatory for this road due to it being actively logged but after only a short drive from town you arrive at Echo Lake.

Our favourite activity is to walk over to the far side of the lake where the water is slightly warmer and the star watching is something else. Keep an eye out for tadpoles and animals of all kinds.

Martha Creek Provincial Park

About 20 minutes north of town beyond the Revelstoke Dam, Martha Creek Provincial Park is a well setup provincial park that caters to a variety of summer activities. There is a boat launch as well as many reservable sites catering to groups of many sizes. Check availability here

Mt Macpherson Rec Site and Trails

Experience the tranquility of the forest at Mt Macpherson. A multi use site that caters to bikers, hikers, campers, cross country skiers and more. Summer season is May-October.

Halfway Hot Springs

It’s hard to beat a natural hot spring and Halfway Hot Springs near Revelstoke, BC are up there with the best. Featuring a combination of human enhanced natural pools alongside natural pools; there is a variety of temperatures available and the Halfway river flowing right next to the pools for refreshing cold dips. Plenty of campsites but the road is nearly impossible by car in the winter. The place is kept very clean by a caretaker and no glass is allowed in the pools. Find more detailed directions here.
