Green Kraken
After only good experiences from the growers so far at BOAZ, we thought a glorious spring day in BC was time the right time to release the Green Kraken and see what was inside.
Green Kraken… Begging to be released.
Coming in at a cool 23.4% THC, Green Kraken is a smooth, sativa dominant cross of Mango and Green Kush that was grown in Calgary, hang dried, hand trimmed and cold cured before being packed to each order. Our batch sits at 23.4% and with one of the more monstrous looking nugs we’ve seen, our interests were instantly piqued and it was naturally time to… “Release The Kraken..”

They didn’t call it Green Kraken for nothing, and even after already seeing the shot above, upon first open I was surprised and impressed to see such a glorious top cola explode out of the container. In this instance, we were left with 1 large and 1 small nug that filled the entire container and instantly let off a piney citrus aroma. While the bud size was large, the trim job was also very neat and relatively little stem make for a very visually appealing package.

Smell
Green Kraken is a strong and well balanced affair, with terpenes Caryophyllene, limonene, myrcene and humulene all making an appearance. The overall result is a nose full of citrus, hops some lavender that combined very nicely with it’s THC overtones to create a nug that smells as big as it looks.
Taste
We found Green Kraken to have a complex yet balanced citrusy Mango profile, that rounded out well with a creamy pepperiness. This paired nicely with the sour undertones of it’s Green Kush parentage and inspired us to get out and enjoy this spring afternoon in Revelstoke.
Experience
After a few tries now, Green Kraken is easily one of our favourite premium Sativa strains we have come across recently. With an overall uplifting vibe, great flavour/taste profile and novelty sized nugs to cap it off, Green Kraken is a great option for users both old and new looking to unleash the power of “the gods”.
