Modified Grapes (BC)
With good grape strains being always hard to find; we were very excited to open up this latest drop from indigenous owned and BC based brand All Nations. With very high hopes of finding a new grape strain for our display table, we could not wait to open up the jar and see what was inside. Currently available at Dream Lounge in both 3.5g and 28g formats.
Modified Grape Vibes..
Being a cross between the two strains GMO and Purple Punch; The nugs come packaged in a glass jar that perfectly preserves the fruity and gassy aromas we were looking for. The nugs had a very thick layer of trichomes that added to the overall purple vibe. The calyxes were large and proud; as you would expect from a GMO strain with the frosty, purple character of the nugs likely coming from the strains Purple Punch lineage. What does all this mean? Look
Hand trimmed, green and purple nugs with had all the right curves in all the right places. We were impressed by the symmetry conical nature of the calyxes which suggested that these nugs were not only happy, but also top colas.
Smell
With the grape aromas being a little subdued here, there is a strong gassy earthiness that catches your attention straight away. With prominent terpenes being Limonene, Beta – Caryophyllene and Beta – Pinene; we found the aromas to be zesty, gassy and very approachable.
Taste
Funky gas on the inhale that turns subtly fruity on the exhale. The ash burned exceptionally white and made for an overall clean smoke.
Experience
Compared to a lot of stereotypes about strong indicas; I found the buzz of Modified Grapes to be very uplifting and quite energising. After about 2 or so hours of uplifted summer fun, there was little to no burnout and Modified Grapes is well worth a try for, newbies, seasoned blazers or anyone interested in dank, good herb.
